Protection mirrors have been worn for centuries to ward off negative energy. It is said that harmful spirits and negative energy are frightened off by their reflection in the mirror, protecting the wearer. Highly polished silver plates have been used as a mirrors since ancient times.

SIZE AND DETAIL:
This piece is about 2/3" long and 1/2" wide. Each pendant contains approximately 5.0 grams of fine silver. I handcraft each piece so weight may vary slightly. All my materials are recycled and/or natural.

HOW IT"S MADE:
I made this fine silver pendant using Art Clay Silver (PMC). ..999 and .950 After I shape the piece, I fire it in my jewelry kiln for 2 hours at 1650 degrees. This Protection Mirror is polished with a myriad of polishing paper. Starting with a smooth grit, I work my way through a rainbow of finer and finer polishing paper, until the mirror is reflective. This process takes several hours. Most of my jewelry is made to order but I usually craft them within a month or so of sale.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
It's so easy! Fine silver doesn't tarnish easily, in fact I have a couple of pieces I haven't polished in a year or so. Just get a silver polishing cloth, when you notice a little change in the silver brilliance, just rub it with the cloth a few times! It will not disappoint. (I am offering a polishing cloth with the purchase of two pieces) Please message me for your free cloth as I don't want to send an unwanted cloth. :)

NECKLACE INFO AND OPTIONS:
I offer a free adjustable (to 26") 1.5 mm cord necklace. You can choose from a waxed linen cord (water resistant, durable and plant based), genuine red leather cord, or pendant only. Both cord types are adjustable. In addition, I also offer sterling silver chain in 18". Please message me if you require a longer chain.
